Picture Books

The Rainbow Fish is written and illustrated by Marcus Pfister (1992). This Children's Book has a great message to teach students about vanity and how manners are important. I was actually introduced to this book in my college Art Education course. The course introduced us to different media and resources appropriate for different grade levels. Art Education majors are certified in teaching K-12. This book was introduced to us at the elementary level. An Art teacher could use this book as inspiration or a resource for an underwater themed activity. This activity could be paired with a Science class and that could teach students what creatures one could find in the water.

So many children and teachers still read this book. It is a very popular one at my school. Good job on your blog.
