Fiction

Balliett, B. (2004). Chasing Vermeer. Illus.B. Helquist. New York: Scholastic.
I want to use this book in my classroom because it integrates math and teaches concepts so that students can solve the mystery of the stolen painting. This book is very creative and might spark an interest in students to study art history. This book is appropriate for middle and high school grades. I would use this book in an Art History class and have students create stories about their favorite artist.
